The closest airport is the Des Moines International Airport (DSM). Most connections from the East and West coasts go through Denver, Minneapolis, or Chicago.
To Ames:
Ames is approximately 30 miles North of Des Moines.
Rental cars are recommended for the drive from Des Moines to Ames, and would come in handy if you would like to explore central Iowa. Cabs are few and far between in Ames, so it's easiest to drive around town. However, we will have a shuttle from the Gateway Hotel to the ceremony and reception, so if you want to stay local to the hotel, you could take a car or shuttle from the airport.
To Sleep:
